Just a quick note to let you know I appreciate the advise, tips, strategies, freebies, recommendations and insight you've provided to me over the last few months I've been on your list.

I don't know what it is exactly, but certain people I instinctively know I want to white list in my email account.  It's probably a combination of things - like not sending me three sales pitch messages a day (or even one a day, every darn day), or not getting the same message multiple times the same day because the sender doesn't use a duplicate remover software, or maybe its just the lack of hype.

Whatever it is, I white listed you soon after reading a message or two from you AND I also have archived most of your instructional messages for future reference.  Keep it up!

7 Reasons Why You Won't Make it As An Entrepreneur

You need a hard dose of reality once in awhile to find out what you're really made of. This post is confrontational in tone but it is not about trying to discourage you. Well, maybe it is in a way. You see, if you're really not cut out for entrepreneurship, wouldn't you want to know early on instead of going through years of frustration beating your head up against a wall when you really should have accepted that you just couldn't hack it and chosen a different path?

That's just one way to look it. If you're like me, however, you read a post like this and feel challenged and your inner crocodile cracks an eyelid and gets hungry. If you're proactive and you want to win you will use what you read in this post to identify your weaknesses and work on them until they no longer prevent you from getting what you want. So, without further adieu, here's 7 reasons why you just ain't gonna make it as an entrepreneur (If you think I'm wrong, prove it!):

  1. You're not willing to do the work. I believe that most can do the work, but few can commit to doing the work necessary to achieve entrepreneurial success. Similarly, many are enchanted by the idea of success but few are able and willing to take the journey and do the processes required to get the results.
  2. You're an emotional and mental wimp. You just don't have the sheer grit or emotional toughness that it takes to make it as an entrepreneur. You think compartmentalization is somewhere you store your stuff and you think business is "risky." You experience paralysis by analysis. You can't cause yourself to take the action necessary to win. You have not an ounce of competitiveness in your body.
  3. You lack a clear vision. You don't know what the hell you want. If you cannot define or see your target clearly, how are you going to hit it? You're a victim of random action or inaction because you don't even know where you're going. It's like you're driving a car in a foreign city with no road map, no guide, and no clue where you're at. And, even worse, you're the guy that is too proud to ask for directions so you continue to wallow in results of your own failure to ask for help.
  4. You have no strategy, no process to get from point A to point B. Not only do you not have a plan, you haven't even decided what you're going to do to get from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time. You have not identified anyone who has done what you want to do before so that you can at least learn the process. You are out of control and again, you don't know where you're going.
  5. You have no mentor, no coach. Have you ever heard of a professional athlete without a coach? If you want to achieve something significant, how do you explain the fact that you are working without a mentor at the very lease? Doing something new without the guidance of someone that's done it before is for losers. You want to win, don't you? You do not win without a great coach or a great mentor.
  6. You're energy and time management skills are a joke. You procrastinate your days away because you have no plan, no rituals, no routine to ensure you get done what you need to. Your energy level sucks because you treat your body as if you can trade it in for a new one every 5 years. You're always running late, your office is a mess, and you have no filing system. Your voicemail and email is full and you're always missing commitments to yourself and to other people.
  7. You don't know the meaning of the word F.O.C.U.S. It stands for Follow One Course Until Successful. You start off inspired but lose steam after only a few days or a few weeks doing one thing. You switch back and forth between projects and goals but never realize any incremental gains. You're like a hamster in a wheel going round and round but not really getting anywhere. You don't understand that success and entrepreneurship are processes that take time and persistent effort. You call yourself A.D.H.D but you're really just lacking systems to keep you on track.

If this is you, you've got two choices. You can either shape up or give up. Take action to correct your sabotalogical behaviors once and for all, or hang up the spurs now and go whittle away at a menial job.

If you need help in any of these areas and you can honestly say that you're committed to achieving entrepreneurial success, I may want to help you with some good 'ole one-on-one coaching. I will provide you with the tools and systems I use to stay on track, productive, and at the top of my game.

I've spent nearly a decade and thousands upon thousands of dollars learning these master secrets and I'm willing to share them with the right kinds of people that share my enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and success. Email me at adam@evolvingentrepreneur.com if you're ready to take things to the next level. My coaching is not for you if you're cheap, but I can help you define and get the results you're after.
